On an average the private taxis charge Rs. 8 to Rs 20 for every km. these taxis can be hired for touring in the city as well as can be hired to traverse to another city. Though the cycle rikshaw can take you to smaller distances, auto rikshaw and taxis can take you to far off places also. Taxis are comfortable but are relatively costlier compared to auto rikshaw. You can also book a full day touring taxi, which can take you to different pre decided destinations.

The memorial still stands leading to the field signifying the supremacy of the mighty British empire. Sita Ram Upadhyaya Museum is a perfect place for all the history lovers, it is a repository of various artefacts and articles. Chausa Hoard is another famous destination to taste delicious Chausa mangoes. Buxar Fort was made by by King Rudra Deo in 1054 AD. Near to this fort are some famous tourist points like Gauri Shankar Temple, Nath Baba Temple etc.

Naulakha mandir known for its architectural beauty is a must visit destination in the city. Ram rekha Ghat also have an mythological significance and is very important as it was once crossed by Lord Rama. The ghat is build over river Ganga and thousand of people visit this ghat to take a holy bath in the holy river. Nath Baba Temple apart from being a famous temple is a very famous picnic spot for the people of Buxar and the outsiders. You can also drive down to Tadka Vadh forest area where Lord Rama killed the demons Tadka. Siddhashram was the famous adobe of family guru of Lord Rama Family Rishi Vishwamitra. At this very place Lord Rama and Laxma killed demons Mareech and Subahu . Apart from these there are a number of other tourists point in Buxar.
